Obama
Obama is crazy. I would never switch places with him with what he is facing right now. But, it hit me big last night. Hit me that all his hyperbolic statements about Hope, they aren't B.S. I guess I'm just cynical. That it took me witnessing such a amazing, stellar, unique historical moment before I let soaring aspirational rhetoric get inside my head... but right now hope is *exactly* what America needs. After 8 years of being lead by people who crassly built their power base by distorting and exploiting our deepest fears, this country is shaken. You can see it all over our blogs and newspapers. We need to get our heads back in check, our focus aimed, we need leadership.

No joke. I thought about that last night. Once the "OMG!" wore off, there must have been a good bit of "OMFG???? for President Elect Obama and his amazing wife.
Now the true work begins. For Obama, and for all of us. I think the Hope is enough to give us the required shto in the arm, tho.
The only thing to do now is remember, there's nothing to fear but fear itself. I pray that Obama is protected by all the forces for good - whatever they may be, and that his life is the service required, not anything other.
